What do we consider "dirty players"?

- RAGGING THE PUCK -

Ragging the puck IS - when your opponent skates in their own zone with the puck, usually behind their own net, making it almost impossible to get possession back. This is just something in the game on EA’s end where your fore-checking just doesn't work. Its very frustrating and unfair because it just halts game play and just bleeding out the clock. Those who rag usually do it when they're up by a goal or so and rag all game or in the last minute of a game.

Ragging the puck is NOT -  when they are behind the net making a line change. This takes a few moments to get the new line out and people jump the gun and assume their opponent is ragging. This applies also when your opponent is behind or around their own net setting up a rush or breakout pass. Those two examples are mistaken as ragging but are clean tactics.

- GOALIE CHARGING TO DRAW A PENALTY -

Goalie charging IS - when the opponent controls the goalie manually and skates out to charge you with the intention of drawing a goalie interference penalty. Repeatedly doing this makes it obvious the other players intent and is an unfair tactic and is frowned upon heavily.

Goalie charging is NOT - when your opponent goes into manual goalie and dives out on a breakaway. This is nothing to cause someone to be blacklisted. They are manually playing the goalie. Its a high risk, high reward tactic. Yes it seems unfair but is quite easy to beat especially if you get a breakaway early in the game and you know your opponent will do this, you can anticipate it and just make a quick deke left or right and score an easy goal.

- SHOOTING THE PUCK OUT OF THE RINK -

This is when your opponent is getting possession of the puck and shooting it over the boards getting a delay of game penalty for the purpose of making the game longer. When someone does this they instantly shoot the puck over the boards as soon as they gain possession of the puck. This also may be your opponent trying to desync the game. There really isn't anything to confuse this with because it's very obvious what's going on.

- HUT SCAMMING -

Most cases of HUT scams, both parties are at fault. However we will still accept entries for those that scam. A HUT scam can consist of many thing. One being a player not playing up on a wager match. To prove this, you must send a screenshot of converstaion where one player clearly states that he will not pay, or does not respond for over 3 days. Other forms of HUT scamming include; players keeping a borrowed collection, or claiming they can duplicate cards. To prove this, you will again need a screenshot of a conversation. The obvious way to avoid this would be to not lend cards to people you dont know!

- IP BOOTING / DISCONNECTING -

This is when someone disrupts your internet connection in anyway for any period of time to cause you to be offline and disconnected from the EA servers resulting in you getting a DISC loss while they receive a 3-0 DNF win. The people who do this are DDoS-ing you or using some other way to interrupt your internet connection. DDoS is when someone illegally gets your IP address and then floods your IP with packets causing your internet to jam up and get knocked offline. The other methods are unknown but DDoS is the most obvious.

To prove that someon is an booter, you must send a picture of his recent games. If the majority of his games are DNF wins then they will be Blacklisted. Having 1 or 2 will not count, as many that may be caused by a few rage quits or EA servers.

- TROLL GOALIE (EASHL/OTP) -

Being a troll goalie IS - When a drop in goalie repeatedly skates out of the net to let the other team score. Skating past the red line to to get penalties, or repeatedly trying to start a fight is also consider troll goalie behavior. (BaconCountry will not be Blacklisted)

Being a troll goalie is NOT - When a goalie comes out of the net to play the puck, or plays agressive trying to make a save. Troll goalies will typically be far out of the net making no attempt to stop the puck. If a goalie is making flying poke checks or desperation attempts and being scored on, they are not troll goalies and will not be Blacklisted.

- 6's GOALIE BACKING OUT (EASHL/OTP) -

This is when an EASHL team of 6 players matches with another team of 6 players, then has their goalie leave once the game starts in order to have an advantage using a CPU goalie. This will typically be done early in a game, or when a team starts losing. If a team is proven to do this, the entire team will be added to the blacklist. However it will take multiple complaints for a team to be added, since there is always a chance that the goalie just got disconected.

 INTENTIONAL OFFSIDES (EASHL/OTP) -

This is when a teammate in EASHL stays in the offensive zone, making the play offside. This is a form of trolling that handcuffs his teammates, since they cannot enter the zone. We will not take reports if the player is AFK/AFC (away from his controller) and not moving. We will only add the player to the blacklist if he is shown going offside on purpose with the intent of frustrating his teammates

- Things that will NOT be Blacklisted -

  • Glitch goals - All goals in the game are defendable.

  • Lag switch - There is no possible way to prove that someone is using a "lag switch"

  • Skill Zone - Skill zone is a form of defense where a player controls his center and lets the AI defense do all the work. As with "glitch goals", it is not impossible to beat, and is a fair game strategy.

  • Mean Messages - Everyone gets frustrated with the game, and a few mean messages are no reason to be blacklisted. The simplest thing to do is block communication with a player that is sending the messages.

  • Poke check spamming - Poke check spamming is the same as glitch goals and skill zone. Though it may be frustrating to play someone that is proficient with the poke check, it doesnt make it a Blacklistable offence.
